Getting organized and staying organized takes a lot of effort. Specially, over the years when you accumulate stuff, without making room for stuff you really want to have. Besides the regular shopping added to stuff we have, imagine having hobbies that need even more space, than those who don't collect to satisfy their creativity.
I have been involved in helping others with their containment of clutter. Saturday was one of those days. The elderly lady said you are really good at it. She was unable to keep track of all the stuff that had taken over her three bedroom apartment. She had bags of stuff. She is elderly, so I took the initiative in bringing the stuff in the living room to her and one by one going thru them. She had a very large tub of tapperware, so we stuffed the stuff she will need for her hobbies at a later day. Another pile was made for stuff she would give away. And stuff of no longer interest and not worth donating, went in large black trash bags.
However, if you attempt to sell your items, there are many tools and websites to sell your items. In the mid 90s I had discovered a platform, which I have to this day. I haven't aggressively promoted, however I have got some sales. It's Ecrater. I also set a Facebook page for those who sell on Ecrater at: www.facebook.com/groups/EcraterStores/ - there are some gems to discover. To go along with that page, I also have on Pinterest a special board to further promote Ecrater as well at: https://www.pinterest.com/OurDesignPages/business-news-and-sourcewww.pinterest.com/OurDesignPages/business-news-and-sources/s/ subgroup of Business News and Sources. I will add more stores there for you to discover and hopefully shop at their stores.
I am asked, where else do I sell my items. I have used various apps:
Do you have a website? If not, you might like to have one for yourself, for the family or for start up business. At some point, we might need a basic website to promote our business or services.
A friend of ours had an online business for quite a long time, however, due to family circumstances, her website wasn't active nor it was updated. She was "throwing away" money for a business that had to close it's doors for a while.
I was so glad she took my offer to transfer it to a stand alone website, with no incurring yearly expenses. I suggested that I would help her transfer the site. She had done a lot of research and also willing to pay someone to teach her. Ideally it would be great if she could visit me, however it's at least 5 hr drive where she lives.
Last week, in an hour, while she was on the cellphone with me, I migrated the site to the stand alone. She will tweak it soon. If you need help with such a situation or need a similar quick website to get it up and running, please contact me with some details of your need and situation.
Since the old site is now deleted, here is the new site
