My friends tell me they feel stuck, as they don't want to look at the piles of paperwork they need to take action. Recently a friend of mine said she doesn't even want to look at the pile of bills to be paid. Also, she was frustrated with all the piles of files accumulated over the years. I said, don't look at the piles. Dedicate each day a set amount of time when you like to unwind, or sitting in front of the TV. Take one folder and start going thru the papers. If it's not any use or needed, just toss them. If it has personal account and information add to a pile, put a sticky note on it "to be shredded". Got to separate the "URGENT" bills to be paid and give it just 15 min and you would be surprised you would be done with it in less than 15 min.
There is no better day than TODAY! As soon as you feel overwhelmed, think of an action plan. This is a good day to start organizing your "paper" at home. Do one box or shelf at a time! Don't forget all your photos in boxes and albums. When was the last time you looked at those photos or albums?
Allocate just 30min a day, add it to your calendar of to do list. Before you know it you would be so neat and relieved of anxiety!
