As we come to the close of 2015, many think of having resolutions. Things they like to change in their life, lessons learned from the past and come up with decisions. Many end up being good intentions, however not sure if those resolutions get acted upon. On top of the list would be taking care of our health, specially after all those parties and celebrations.
Once January 1st comes, most would make resolutions, perhaps to exercise, diet, get organized, start new hobbies. Whatever it is, it's all positive. Do you remember your resolutions from January 2015? Did you accomplish your goals you set for yourself?
We hope on top of your getting organized would be to take care of your irreplaceable family and friends memories you captured over the years. Remind yourself that they need to be brought to the 21st century. Did you lose a loved one this year? Do you regret not asking them many questions, specially stories in those photos kept in albums, photos in shoeboxes? Hopefully those you love are still alive and you add on top of your list to capture their stories, make bundles of photos and stories to go along with them on sticky notes and have them in separate envelopes.
If they are still in the basement or the attic as many tell us they are, they need to be rescued asap. As they get deteriorated over time, humidity and natural disasters would damage them.
As we had mentioned at the beginning of one of our blog entries, you don't want to be in a situation when the basement gets flooded or God forbid there is fire. Time to get them digitized, contact us and let's take care of them. I still remember Anthony in VA, when his father's house in Long Island got flooded and ALL their family photos were gone! He was left only with the few photos he showed us that were in his living room.... Unfortunately the unexpected happens, it's best to prevent and take action asap.
